Tailoring is back and is here to stay during Spring Summer 2017.
Each with its own cuts and tailoring secrets, every fashion house introduced us to a whole new era of tailored jackets; Balenciaga with the new neon colors, refreshing cuts at Jacquemus and tighter on the waist at Marni. While other designers chose to mix it in a not so usual way with the return of sportswear for dressy looks; Versace translated it in the form of a parka with crystals and mesh, quilted in style at Dior and last but not least made to perfection with embellishments and pared with ripped jeans and a t-shirt or oriental florals at Dries Van Noten.
Sure, a black tailored jacket is a staple in any closet. Which explains why today, we chose to help you get creative on how to take a black piece’s colorful counterpart and make it just as versatile and fun.
Trust us, it’s easier than you think, keep scrolling!
1-A striking outer layer is the last thing you put on but the first thing people notice so the easiest option is to pare it with your boyfriend jeans and a basic white t-shirt. Make it appear on the more casual end by wearing a cool pair of sneakers with it or more sophisticated with stilettos.
2-With the rise of fashion sportswear on the catwalks, track pants fall into the category of the reborn classics. Designer labels like Marc Jacobs, Vetements, Celine and Gucci took those pants to a whole new level this season. So now you can easily dress them up with your statement piece and some cool sexy heels!
3-Weither it’s made with a printed silk fabric or with a plain one, our favorite trend for Spring Summer 2017 is the off duty silk satin dress. Celebrity style icons were caught rocking this trend many times on the streets during fashion weeks or on the more casual days. And if you’re headed for colder climes, brave in your statement jacket and embrace it with some cool sneakers or even pumps!
Statement jackets can really transform your wardrobe! Make sure you grab one this season!
